I have some reeeeeeal gems here. Couple for sale and one for trade.
All of these are near and dear to me and all 3 are incredibly special. I am only trying to make room for some upcoming goodies but again I truly wish I could keep all of them.
WTS-
Denka 240 Red Handle Gyuto
AO super, SS Clad

I bought this directly from TF back in ‘21 and it took almost a year to actually be made (I know, right?) I was told that the red handle on the Denka signifies that it is one that is sold at TFs shop in Japan so I just got lucky with this one.
As far as Wabi Sabi goes this one is actually a super clean example… and any left over Wabi Sabi-ness on the blade was taken care of by the great @julestools as soon as I got the knife.
This one isn’t super chunky, as a lot of the Yo handled ones I’ve seen are… it has a nice steady convex (obviously perfected by Julian
) and is a perfect weight for its size. Had a nice heft to it but is super balanced. This one is also nice and tall as far as Denkas go as well.
Obviously the core steel is suuuuper crispy and hard af…. I even left the sexy little sticker on it.
Blade was polished and edge was cleaned up by Julian, and I have only ever swiped it on an Aizu a few times.
Extremely sad to see this one go but I will have to let it go to make room for some new customs…

Merion Forge Custom 245 Gyuto
1.2562 core, Wrought Clad, GORGEOUS Limewood Burl/Blonde horn handle

This was my first custom from Dominik. Immediately upon receiving it I absolutely fell in love with his work and have since become a super fan
I cannot say enough positive things about Doms work… his treatment of steel and finishes… his profiles… his handle work… all absolutely phenomenal. I removed the patina (which was absolutely insane, I’ll include a picture) and in doing so I shined up the Kasumi finish that was on the knife a bit, so, if whoever buys this is into polishing, just wait and see what it looks like after you put it on the stones!
This guy is niiiice and tall and features a convex on the left side blade face and a nice hollow pocket on the left side, giving it excellent food release and amazing cutting feel. I believe that this knife has the original edge on it… I think I have only ever stropped it.
The only reason I am willing to let this one go is that I am planning to do yet another custom (that will be my second in 2023) from him so I will need to make room for that
** it’s important to include that I rounded the heel on this knife because it was quite pronounced, and would often get caught on the board/micro chip and even more often on my fingertips while I was cleaning it
so a slightly lower price will reflect that.
The knife performs much better with the heal this way, trust me.
If you have noticed his amazing work on Instagram, and would like to check out one of his knives for an excellent price, this is the knife for you! (or maybe you just want a sick a$$ knife…)

Ironwood western handle

Words cannot express just how unbelievably sick this knife is…
I honestly don’t even know where to start or what to say, but this knife is just about perfect.
WH grind… insanely comfortable and smooth ironwood handle… Nice fine tip for detail work and some of the most insane wrought figuring I have seen. This knife has it all.
I am putting this up here on Kkf, with a small list of trade options, just to see what is out there, but if the right offers don’t come through I will have absolutely no problem keeping this knife forever.

- Bazes (more recent stuff)
- Halcyon WH
- Kamon
- Tsourkan Western/WH
… you see the direction I’m going in here. I tend to prefer heavier 240-255 gyutos but there are certainly exceptions to that so feel free to send me a PM if you have something you think I may like. I am not necessarily opposed to a partial trade or a multiple knife trade but please don’t offer things that aren’t just as special and rare as this one
