Kind of a catch, refinish, rehandle and release here because I’m on the books for too many customs. A really nice mid weight Sakai knife. Feels like a Tetsujin with better distal taper and a slightly thinner tip, and I think the only way to get Tanaka x Myojin without shelling out for a Kono FM.

I got it without a handle and added this nice chatoyant rosewood. Wasn’t able to get all the scratches out from previous use (detailed in pics) but has a very handsome and functional finish. The core steel/cladding line has quite an interesting look and I’m not sure if this is because it was etched by the previous user. I only used it for one meal and sharpened it once after refinishing with no loss in height.
