Hi all, I got this a few months ago from a fellow form member and I'm looking to let it go for another maker. It's a great knife but as much as I love it I just don't use/reach for gyotos over 220. The steel is 1.2519 and the handle is ebony. It has only been used three times by me and never sharpened and came in great condition from the original owner. Light patina and there's a little scuff on the handle you can see in one picture. I purchased it for $1,100 and am looking for a trade or trade +/- cash. I'm looking mainly for gyotos under 220mm but open to see what people are willing to offer. Makers I'm interested in are Yanick, The 9nine, Milan Gravier, and Catchside. Thanks! Have a great weekend!!

I was the original owner of this one. Sold it to another gent here, whom I’m guessing had since passed it along to the OP. Let this one go simply to fund another Kamon. This one was one of four 245mm Kamon knives I have, so it seemed a little redundant to keep. I had only “sharpened“ it twice, both times just a touch up on an 8k stone to refresh the edge. Can’t speak for the person I sold it to, but judging from the pics it looks in very similar condition as it did when it left here. The handle originally was made for a 230mm I have. But it seemed more fitting for this one. It’s ebony with vintage wrought iron caps. Lots of character in those caps.

Thank you for the history lesson! The end caps really are something else!
