I am looking to buy one of the kasfly sandpaper holders to experiment with thinning with some coarse high sandpapers.

I noticed that they also released a larger version (230x114mm). The standard version is 215x60mm.

I was wondering which of these may be more suitable for thinning, regarding usage and sandpaper sizing?

Also if anyone has any good sandpaper recommendations it would be appreciated. I've heard cubitron paper recommended a few times.

3M branding confuses me a little bit -- is there even a low-grit cubitron-branded sandpaper at this point? Anyway, the 3M stuff I get locally, in purple packaging, is quite good. Rhynowet seems a bit better, measuring by how long it lasts, and Klingspor a bit better better than that.

I have both Kasfly holders, and prefer the wider one, not least because I have to change the sandpaper less, but also because when there was only the narrower one, my one complaint about this otherwise-wonderful piece of gear was that I wished it were wider.
