Ive been playing with some different combinations of stones lately and I think Ive figured it out. Hopefully I can make more progress over time, but this is a good start for an in apartment set up haha.

This is my moritaka, first Real Knife I ever owned, so its my at home and practice knife.

Looks pretty good. But how can that be a honbadzuke if your knife has been used for a long time? Sorry to be a stickler, honbadzuke means to put the first real edge in for the knife, or something roughly like that.

Nice finish! What progression did you use? Also, how reactive is that cladding without the KU?

For the finish I used a Combo of 10kss and finger stones. Cladding isn't an issue, it got that way from years of wiping, washing. Probably get into some wet sanding for fun soon.

Looks beautiful! How do you get the core so polished? Really lovely contrast with the frosted cladding.
