Looking to sell my Konosuke Damascus Nakiri. It's stainless steel, but I'm honestly unsure what steel exactly. I came across it in trade on these boards years ago, maybe 4 or so.
It was from a very limited run, I remember seeing these on a couple sites iirc 6 or 7 years ago, in the mid $300's new and they sold out pretty quick, like a couple weeks and this was before the full on Kono craze where stuff now lasts mere days or hours. The Gyuto's were in the high $300's to mid $400's iirc.
I only have a tape measure to measure it with, but it measures about 163mm heel to tip and about 45mm heel height. It's a pretty beefy blade with almost no taper, but it's thin behind the edge, this is no laser though. Good fit and finish, octagonal wood handle with a blonde buffalo ferrule.
Used to use this knife a solid amount(only in an amateur home environment), but it's become a drawer queen for me the last year or so. Afaik it's never been reprofiled, or repaired, nor thinned. I've touched it up a few times and it's a very solid cutter. Right now it needs a good sharpening, but again, it's in very good shape.
I'm attaching a bunch of pics. Looking for $400 including PP fees and continental US shipping.
Thanks for looking!
