This one: SOLD - Tsourkan 210 AEB-L WH Gyuto w/Saya

I like the knife but found a very slight lefty bias when (1) chopping fast and (2) shaving scallions. And I found a 225, which has more to do with my selling this one than the bias.

As described the Marko "D" is oriented left but fine for right. The maker's mark is on left side of blade.

Used for some fruit and veg at work to try it out. No stress, no sharpening.

Don't know how many more, if any, will be made.

From my understanding talking to Marko, the LH stamp is merely a differentiator between Wa and Yo, not the handedness. GLWS. This is quite an unusual size for a Tsourkan WH knife
 
I don't think that always holds true. I had a RH Wa handle with the stamp on the right.

You are right. Here's the quote from a few years ago. More complicated than I remembered.

"My Wa hanled knives are influenced by Japanese (except for choice of steel) and I follow their preferences for marking. Symmetrically ground and right handled ground knives get a mark on the right side, left handled knives - on the left side. Western knives are influenced by American/European, so I mark normally on the left side, both right and left handed. There were some exeptions over the years, but these are guidelines I roughly stick to. "

No worries, I've seen this chased for awhile.

In my own experience I have:

52100 WH gyuto, 225 and 240mm, Wa (actually "D") handles, slight righty grind, Makers Mark on right.

AEBL suji, 285mm, "D" handle, slight righty grind, Makers Mark on right.

AEBL Western WH, 240mm, slight righty grind, Makers Mark on right.

AEBL Western WH, 225mm, incoming, recall from pic that Makers Mark is on the right.

And a boning knife and cimitar that are western handled with mark on right.

None of above are going anywhere, the 210 is a sweet knife but real redundant.

( OK, I'm a fan boy)

To add to the confusion, my Devin ITK are wa handled, marked on left.
