Mike Jones is a full-time knife maker and blade smith based in central British Columbia. He built his first knife in 2013, and his interest developed quickly, transcending pastime or hobby straight into obsession. Mike only makes a limited number of knives annually and has been praised for his knives by the likes of Joe Rogan and others.

This 6 Inch, Chef's Knife comes with a Paper Micarta handle and is made from Reclaimed Steel. The knife was purchased for $600 and was only used a handful of times.

Hoping to sell for $400, but open to negotiation.

Please feel free to contact me with any questions.

Reclaimed high carbon steel in knives can come from various sources. For a high-quality, handmade knife like those from Mike Jones, typical sources of reclaimed steel include:
  1. Ball Bearings: Known for their high carbon content and hardness, making them an excellent choice for durable, sharp blades.
  2. Leaf Springs: Often used in vehicle suspension systems, they are made of high carbon steel and are known for their toughness and ability to hold an edge.
  3. Saw Blades: Especially from large industrial saws, these are often made from high-quality, high carbon steel that's suitable for knife making.

What a funny response. Who gave ChatGPT a KKF account

Way to bump an 11 month old WTS thread from a guy who's one and only post was this.

I think it’s clear that A.I. has begun their master plan, and are now leaving us breadcrumbs to save ourselves.

I’ll start by going out on a limb… pretty sure it’s gonna involve a lot of reclaimed high carbon steel, maybe a Magneto-esque supervillain? The saffron is really throwing me for a loop though…

Wow, how did I overlook Joe Rogan when this was initially posted? He is very well known for his expertise in steels and knifemaking. If he says these are good knives, than they 100% MUST be good knives. And what's not to love about a 'chef knife' that's a whopping 6 inches long -- talk about great for slaying large onions and potatoes 🤠 And the reclaimed steel is the icing on the cake -- since that steel was around for many years before this, there's no way it won't last forever now that it's in a knife. It has a proven history of durability.

I would expect that to Joe Rogan, six inches is very long compared to what he is used to handling.
