Miura Obidama

Gang,

Found a knife line that I hadn't heard about. Anybody have any experience with the Miura Obidama?

It's Nakagawa forged but there is no mention of the sharpener. I asked Miura but they would not disclose it.

It is their house brand, I am sure they have numerous sharpeners on each line. Some of their Tanaka AS looked very similar to sakai kikumoris, they also have wide bevels etc. That's a nice price for some nakagawa dama though, get it and report back!

Multiple people on here have had them, at least the AS line

I know the AS line (itadaki) is sharpened by Nomura, not sure if it’s the same for the obidama line.

Yeah, I have seen the AS line and almost got it on the boards once. I have a Sakai Kikumori Kikuzuki Uzu. I know it's forged by Tanaka, but the grind looked similar. Web searches revealed VERY little. Nobody seems to have typed about it.

Was just looking at the same blade not too long ago! They do have a blurry choil shot on the site and from what I can tell it looks similar to kikumori nakagawa damascus they have on strata?
