Hey y'all here are 2 different types of Uchigumori. One Hato (soft) and one Jito (hard).
Both are super clean pieces of koppa with minimal lines/inclusions as seen in Photos. These stones can be used as base stone like koppa or cut/chiseled for tomo Nagura or fingerstones as well if desired. Both of these pieces work perfectly well as stones however.
Either/both of these pieces would be a great start/addition to ones polishing progression. If used together, the Hato would be used first, followed by Jito and finishing stone if desired.
Most lapping has been done. A little more can be done on the backside to even out the back and a bit more could be done on the faces if desired, however, they're perfectly fine to be used as is and lapped as you use perfectly remove chisel marks left behind.
1. Uchigumori Jito: 145x92x30/25
Harder, finer with less renge, some Karasu.
LV 3.6
$200
2. Uchigumori Hato: 142x55x30/27
Soft, creamy, full of renge.
LV 2.5
$150
