Hello all. First post on the forum so please correct me if my formatting sucks. Looking to sell a few knives that I can’t justify having sit in my cabinet.
•Pie Cutlery 180mm boning knife. Stainless clad white 1 with a spalted maple handle separated with a nickel accent ring. This has seen a little work breaking down a few grouper at work and general portioning. Has also seen the stones but I severely underestimated my ability to polish stainless. I bought this directly from Jody off instagram for $675.00. Hoping to sell for $500. Trade value similar.
•Shigehiro 270mm white 2 yanagi. Great little knife but far too light for me. Used at work to portion boneless cuts of fish fairly often although has been replaced with a 270mm Mazaki. This has been sharpened about 4-5 times and I’ve taken the low spots out for polishing reasons. bought from
Carbon for $375.00. Selling for $300.00.
•Yoshida Hamono 240mm Hap40 wide gyuto. Crazy belly action and flexing thin on the edge. Torched and sanded the handle. Stone rash because I went to polish it one night and stopped after a few few passes while remembering my terrible stainless polishing skills. Bought from Strata for $475.00 and some change with a handle. selling for $400.00
•Willow Forge Honyaki Cleaver in Sheffcut. Very cool s grind Chinese cleaver. Impressive work all around with top notch f&f. Handle is African Blackwood with maple burl. Blade is pretty well patina’d but it’s never been sharpened by me. Few little micro chips that I show in the photos below. Received from a user on Reddit for $500.00. This is a really cool piece and would heavily entertain trades on it over selling.
