After removing the handle, I discovered this knife was made by Kenichi Shiraki/白木健一.

Damascus certainly wasn’t his strong suit.
Good work, I hope you didn’t have to do it all on bench stones.
 
Nice setup. Cooled belt sanders are obviously awesome. Sadly with setups it’s most of the times not about what you like but what you have.

Are you a pro sharpener? Except for the big grinding wheels you got everything like they have it in Sakai.

He's a craftsman/maker and half of XinGuo, a custom Chinese knife maker
