Sakai Ichimonji change name several times and now become Sakai Ichimonji Mitsuhide. Is a brand that has many blacksmith/makers provides knives for them. I bought this knife 13+ years ago and this was at the time when I knew very little about knives and just wanted a yanagi with aogami 2 and Ebony & horn handle.
Now i'm curious about who (Dentokogeshi) made this knife. maybe someone can help me identifying the maker for Sakai Ichimonji Kichikuni??

this knife have a Dentokogeshi sticker/ label on the horn ferrule when the first time I received this knife.

I forget who made this knife and what company, what I remember is Sakai something. Last time I asked the Seller to help me identify the kanji on the knife and he said " Sakai Ichimonji Kichikuni Saku/made"

Before I know this is Sakai Ichimonji Kichikuni I sent an email to Sakai Ichimonji for knife overhaul but they didn't even recognize the blade and said "I don't think that is our blade" but after couple email they can do knife overhaul if I want to send them to Japan. I asked Ichimonji also about who made the knife or Dentokogeshi who made a knives for Ichimonji Kichikuni back then, I got no answer. So I think I'm fine, just curious you know lol.

I know it's hard to identify the maker/ blacksmith since there is no mark on the blade.

This is the wave pattern on the back of Nakagawa Satoshi Blue 1. I Know Nakagawa doesn't make my knife since I bought it like 14 years ago. The wave pattern on the back look similar but not 100% and I like that pattern. That's the reason why I bought the knife besides the blue 2 steel and ebony handle 😁
