One of my first j-knife purchases, this is a classic laser and cuts amazingly well, but I need to make room for some incoming knives. If you’ve never tried a straight up laser, Shibata is a great reference point for how well a knife can cut and a killer value for the price.
It’s been sharpened on an SG4000 once or twice along with some stropping, but I’ve never taken it through a full progression so it should have about 99.9% of the original height. Happy to give it a strop or touchup on request, but the edge still slices paper easily.
There’s some light scratches on the face - hopefully captured in the video; they’re hard to see unless you’re looking for them. All pics and video taken just now.
