This is a bnib Shiro Kamo r2/sg2 240mm gyuto with a black damascus cladding. I'm not sure if it's nickel layering in the cladding, but there's a layer that gives a shine contrast to the more subdued black finish.

I bought this along with a Hatsukokoro knife for a family member to choose from and they went with the very lasery Hatsukokoro.
