Hey all,
I bought this two or three jobs ago when I was carving fruit all day (never again) and haven’t used it since. Included are two nagura that will leave different edges in addition to what you can get clean or with diamond slurry. They all feel similar in fineness with differences in teeth. I’m sure a polisher would have way more fun playing with the possibilities.
Maxim rated it a 3.5 and it’s definitely softer than similar stones. A strong suita alternative for a fraction of the cost. I don’t have anything to polish and take photos of atm, but you can see some photos from the original sales page here: Oohira Lv 3,5 (a2589)
Stone and both nagura are sealed on five sides with spar varnish.
