The knife was forged by Smedja Aspen (Patrik Carlvik) and ground and handled by Spåre. Colloquially known as the Småre this knife is a rare piece from a very small collaboration batch run through the Swedish knife community. I am the second owner of this knife.
I bought this knife a few months ago as my first wrought clad to do a kasumi on. But unfortunately i haven't had the time to do anything with it and it doesn't see much use among my other knives. The profile is a classic Spåre one; the length is a bit too short for my preferences so letting this one go.
The knife is wrought clad with a 1.2562 core. The handle is stabilised birch. It weighs 190g. Dimensions are 225x49ish
There are some scratches on the cladding because i put it on stones to play with getting a kasumi going. The knife was also slightly tipped when using it, which i was able to fix quickly by myself.
It's been used probably 5 times for dinner prep. I have sharpened it once.
Would prefer to trade but also open to offers for sale for380€ + shipping (willing to ship internationally we can split shipping) 350 EU shipping included. I am based in Germany.
Currently looking for a Sanjo gyuto especially Yoshikane or Wakui 270, or something in the 240-270 range from Birgerrson or Isasmedjan. A high end nakiri would also be a fun addition to my collection. Show me what you got.
