Hey KKF,

I have stones that I’ve been using as a part of my progression in the last year. I’ve recently bought some other full size bench stones to replace these smaller but totally respectable stones.

Description: Narutaki iromono
Size: 205 x 75 x 36
Weight: 860 grams
Hardness/Fineness: 2+/3
Sealed: Yes
Link: Original posting taken down
Notes: Purchased from Milan who sourced it from Otto. This is a great pre-finisher that can eat up scratches and be the first natural stone after using synthetics. With a nagura it can refine it a bit more and offer a great easy kasumi. I would recommend this to anyone just getting started and may not be ready for a finer finishing stone.

Paid $450 asking $325 plus shipping

Description: Nakayama kiita nashiji
Size: 155 x 80 x 18 mm
Weight: 582 grams
Hardness/Fineness: 3+/4+
Sealed: yes

Notes: Originally from Tanaka Toshi . One of the softest nakayamas I have tried to date. Very creamy and forgiving relative to how fine it is

Asking $250 plus shipping (SOLD)

Description: Nakayama Tomae Kiita Maruka
Size: 180 x 65 x 30 mm
Weight: 841 grams
Hardness/Fineness: -5/5
Sealed: Yes
Link: https://tennentoishi.com/products/nakayama-maruka-kiita-60?_pos=96&_fid=534c72ea9&_ss=c
Notes: Works best when raising slurry with a nagura. Will bring out fine details in cladding.

Paid $790 asking $625 plus shipping (SOLD)

Had a few nibbles but still looking for a good home for these stones

Smaller Nakayama Kiita Nashiji is from Plane Craftsman Tsunesaboro in Miki. He selects mostly Nakayama, Narutaki, Okudo, Shobudani, Okazi, Aoto and "Shohonyama" that he feels are Tool grade. His stones can be identified with batch serial numbers and sharpy markings on the back of the stone, typically dots and crosses.

I remember that one, it's so silky smooth for a Nakayama Kiita, reminiscent of some of the nicer Shobudani Tomae in that they're more gentle feeling.
GLWS, A+ seller!!

Someone take advantage of this man, hes giving these beauties away!

Here’s another sample of the polish from the small nakayama. Incredibly creamy and soft for a fine stone. Develops a nice mud and probably the best finishing stone you can get for the money.

Bump for the Narutaki...

Use case for this stone. The first stone right after 2 - 3k synth or if you accidentally burnish or pull iron with your finishers then I would drop down to this stone to reset. It does a great job of resetting and erasing scratches.

Adding this double sided uchi as part of a sweet bundle - $500 shipped

Can be used right after the narutaki, soft and muddy. Lays down a really great kasumi with minimal effort. Occasional su pockets but easily lapped thru.

907 grams
