There's not really much anyone can do for you.... I would clarify the situation with some details though..... How long have you been waiting for them to ship ? Have you reached out to the seller ? What was their response, if any?

If you paid PP G&S , you can request a refund , and if you used a credit card through PP, you can also file a charge ack dispute if PP does not resolve the issue.

The transaction details do not match up, raising red flags such that I am not comfortable with the transaction. I have not received payment as I am not accepting the money. The funds are with PayPal and this person is free to work with PayPal to cancel/reverse their payment.

I totally understand that and would do the same..... It's easy enough to just refund the payment , unless there is a reason not to that I am unaware of ...

Okay so this is the third knife i bought from KKF this week without any issue.
I still do not know what details you're referring to as you have not disclosed them.
I explained I used my business credit card if that was the issue or perhaps my wifes first name but the last names are the same??
Despite those non-issues, you still can refund me my money or hey, just send me the knife since you have received the funds???
Still not following the issue here. refund me or send me the knife its no harm to you as the seller other than what i call stealing. Pay pal will not refund me my money as they don't have it in some paypal bank, it's been sent to you.

Gentlemen - this kind of discussion should run through DMs first. It has nothing to do in a BST thread.
Of course I agree. I'm desperate. This member will not respond to me in dms or seek resolution. My $300 is in the wind, what are you suggesting?

If direct communication fails --> PayPal dispute & report to mod team.

Just thought I should chime in after seeing some problems here unfortunately. I bought the fujin 240mm with no issues. I guess **** happens. Hopefully this doesn’t affect other sales or reputations.

I am certainly hoping it effects his reputation. It has cost me $300 in trusting David as a seller. He is not honoring that to seek resolution or even explaining to me the issue. This to me is no one that should be involved in the classified sales here.

I too have just bought a knife from @nexus 1935 over the holidays and he has shipped without issue faster than I expected.

May take a few days to get back to your account after a payment is denied. Paypal says 3-5 days, could be up to 8. If @nexus1935 has declined on his end, you may just be in a holding pattern. It can be a little nerve racking to send money across the internet, but I'd take some comfort from multiple people on here saying he's an ok guy to deal with.

Depends how he paid. If he paid F&F, PayPal won’t do anything, but Nexus should be able to refund and I don't see why wouldn't he, unless his account got hacked lol.

If the buyer paid G&S, it takes 5-7 business days to refund. It should easy to claim with PP, because a tracking number was not provided by the seller after the payment.

There is a confusion here, seller claims he did not receive the funds, and the buyer claims he already paid. Either way, if the knife was not shipped, buyer should be refunded either by PP (in case of G&S), or the seller in case of F&F. Not sure if claiming it with the credit card company would resolve anything.

Hopefully this matter will be resolved in a friendly way for both parties. This forum should be a scam-free place.

There are a lot of trustworthy members here for which I initially paid G&S, and after building friendships and relations now and on I pay them F&F.

That is very helpful information thanks for looking into that and sharing it that's awesome. I will pray that he has atleast denied it then so it gets refunded, currently paypal just shows that he received it.
I did send it FF with a $10 fee, his account seemed good he'd done sales and was a long time member.
This whole situation is just baffling me. Still clueless as to the issue with this sale.
I am glad that others have had a good experience and apreciate you sharing.
Here's a Pic i just received a knife this morning from another member.

Can u re-check the PayPal e-mail you sent the money to? If you made any typo and sent the $ to an incorrect e-mail, the money is lost and no one will be able to help you. In this scenario, nexus won’t be able to refund you as he did not receive any funds. PayPal won’t help you because you sent F&F, which means you trusted the email to send out the funds. Try calling the credit card company but I am not sure if they are going to be able to help. Maybe as a courtesy first time, maybe? Hopefully yes.

Only if the email is available. Once had a friend send me 20€ and he forgot a number. It was in limbo for 4 weeks till he got it back into his account.
Another time I sold something and the buyer clicked the first email to show up but wasn't mine. He contacted the guy he sent the money to and he luckily was a standup guy and sent the money back to him.

Well since we're having the conversation directly in the thread, here are the red flags:
  • A member since 2016, but hasn't posted in the forum since 2019 reaches out to me, red flag since there have been a number of account takeovers on this forum
  • PayPal money received from a different person B's name, not person A's name that I was to ship the knife to in forum conversations - red flag for a third party
  • The money was sent with a description for a "Pizza Party", even though I'm selling a knife - red flag for a dispute as I'm not providing pizza
  • A PayPal request later came to me from person A to pay them $300 - red flag to pay out to someone else
Those are enough red flags that I do not want to proceed with the sale. And so in principle, if there's no sale then I don't want to take possession of the money. I'm relying this PayPal community guidance that if I just don't claim it within 30 days, then it'll be returned to the payer:

If there are any members here more experienced with PayPal that can recommend a resolution, I'd be glad to put this to rest. I've had nothing but good interactions on this forum buying and selling knives, and this is the first time I'm encountering issues.
