Hey guys, have a couple of knives up for grabs today as I need to satiate my knife buying needs.

Open to trades HMU!

First up we have a Takeda “small” gyuto, has been given a custom touch with a matching spalted Maple handle and Saya with ebony from Kaiso Knives on Instagram, Saya is lined with faux leather inside to make it a smooth scratch safe friction fit.

I purchased the knife from Knifewear in Canada for $360 USD, had it shipped to Kaiso in California for its custom stuff which cost me $150 USD, who then shipped it to me in Australia.

Takeda NAS Gyuto Small 210mm

Has been used at work on a Hasegawa soft board, sharpened twice according to how Shosui sharpens his knives, though I added a microbevel for a bit more sturdiness which I strop to maintain when required.

Happy to sharpen it if purchaser wishes me to do so at no cost, currently finished on a green Koshiji from Badgertooth.

Asking $400 USD shipped express within Australia, $425 USD shipped express worldwide.

Next up is a Yoshikane 180mm SLD santoku from Chefs-Armoury here in Australia, where it is sold as “Kaiden Kodo”

I have only used this knife once on some potatoes, carrots and an apple when I first purchased it on impulse from their Melbourne store, it was as fantastic as yoshi knives always are, but I just never found myself picking it up, as I almost exclusively use a gyuto for all jobs at work and at home.

As you can see from the photos it has no patina as of yet, it has not been sharpened and it has come decently sharp OOTB. Talking to the owner of the store they did admit it was Yoshikane made, and after asking and asking about the steel, they admitted it was SLD!

Kaiden Kodo 180 Santoku

The knuckle hight is really something special I will say, and the awesome profile it has for a santoku almost made me keep it for novelty sake, but there is no point having a knife I just don’t use that someone else will undoubtedly love.

I paid $262 USD for this knife, it’s practically unused and has an awesome octagonal burnt chestnut handle and buffalo ferrule.

I am asking $200 USD shipped express within Australia, $225 USD shipped express worldwide.
