Hey y'all, up for sale is a catch and release Medium hardness Ohira Uchigumori. I flattened enough of it to do rudimentary testing but left the rest for the end user to do as they please. It is borderline Hayuza/Jiyuza.

This stone is extremely pure and has only 1 tiny hairline suji that isn't scratchy so far. I'll include a macro shot of it but it's near the edge of the stone so very ideal placement.

The stone has a darker blue base with karasu, aka and what looks to be a little kuro renge. Slurry is pink.

This is a 100 size stone so it is very affordable for such a clean and pure piece of Uchigumori.

When testing on my blue #2 iron clad I got a smoky super dark jigane and near mirror jigane. The stone has a nice firm base for slurry breakdown and very detailed finishes can be achieved. The stone cuts very fast as well and releases more swarf than slurry.

All in all a wonderful Uchigumori that is nearly flawless.

Super high quality stone. Might seem small, but throw that little uchi on a dai and you have a stone that will be as usable as any of bigger cousins at a fraction of the cost - one can comfortably polish even very large knives on stones this size.
