Want to see if anyone can tell how old this is and how much it's worth? My mom gave this to me after my dad passed. The handle has a bad spot on it.

Gustav is a well respected name in knife circles but even in good condition the blade shown would have no collector value and little resale value.

You can check the bay (and search here) for comparable prices.

The blade is pitted and has large swale from steeling. It looks like it served your father well.

Suggest you consider keeping it if it has sentimental value. I shadow boxed some of my stepfather Sabatiers for same reason.
 
Yeah, I used some vintage carbon Gustavs for a while in the butcher shop. They're very nice simple carbon blades, but not valuable. Like Dave says, I'd recommend keeping it if you're feeling sentimental. If you wanted to try and resell it you'd need to get the blade reground and rehandled.
