I really hate doing this but as things are at the moment I just can’t keep this knife.

So here is a Watanabe Nakiri from the special knife range. It’s made of white #2 with iron cladding. I have used it twice to prep a meal for three people. It has already started to form a patina which I can remove upon request. This is an amazingly nice knife with one of the most beautiful chestnut handles ever.

Specs:
Heel to tip: 183mm
Cutting edge length: 175mm
Blade height: 52mm
Spine at heel: 4.5mm
Spine at tip: 1.5mm

I have payed 320€ including shipping and taxes and would like to get 300€ (353$) shipped in Europe for it. International shipping is possible, I will take the first 15$ of the cost.

There is a 'Special' section on Watanabe‘s homepage where he puts on Stones and other things including one off knives made of different steels than his usual professional range.

I got it. Unfortunatelly, Shinichi has closed the web site till 1st October, so I can not see the difference in the steels.
Thanks anyway.

I see. In this case the knife is made of white 2 with iron cladding instead of blue 2 stainless clad of the pro range. There is also plenty of other white 2, stainless and damascus to be found there. And all of these knives come with decent handles right away.

Also considering trades, partial (money from your side only this time) or full for this. Trade value is flexible but of course around asking price.

I would be particularly interested in a Kochi Honesuki (you could buy the one in stock and trade it to me 😀) but will consider almost everything, just let me know what you have.

That’s a beautiful knife! I’m hoping to have a Wat nakiri in my future... maybe if this hasn’t sold and my resolve weakness. GLWS though (if only to spare my wallet!)
