Sorry, guys, too much pressure on my side, don't need to sell, so this is gonna be withdrawn.

Hi, I’m selling a real unicorn made by Xerxes.

It is an absolute unique piece, unparalleled in design, effort, steel, and execution.

It is a 1/2-integral made from a remelted 9mm bar of 135WCrV4/1.2513 TWR, differentially hardened.

analysis:
C: 1.30-1.40, SI: 0.20-0.40, P: 0.035, S: 0.035
Cr: 0.30-0.40, V: 0.10-0.20
W: 0.80-1.10

Here are the dimensions:

Overall length: 380mm
Blade length: 222mm
Blade height: 50mm
Handle height: Front 22mm, Rear 28mm
Handle thickness: Front 20mm, Rear 22mm
Total weight: 219 grams
Balance point at the forge mark

Spacer: one made of textured copper & one made of textured puddled iron
Handle material: Bog oak (Additionally, there is a second handle made of pressed and vacuum-cast colorful coffee bag)
Saya made of bog oak as well
"Angel" and pivot pin made of 42CrMo4
End screw: made of puddled iron, with a Torx 25 screw head forged in while glowing, heat-colored!
Bolster and logo blued

Jannis has gone to great lengths to implement this project. In some cases, the turning of certain parts had to be done in other workshops because Jannis did not have the necessary machines available.

The knife is a technical highlight and more than the sum of its parts. A knife for kitchen knife enthusiasts who appreciate craftsmanship.

Gorgeous knife. Are these current pics? Is the knife unused and unsharpened? If not, can you post pics showing current condition and describe its usage, sharpening history etc?

Hi, guys!

Had a few messages, which I'll answer now - back from construction site (where I can't take pics and answer immediately, @Corradobrit1
Pics are new, sorry, wasn't intended to fool someone, but should have mentioned it)
Knife is used, touched up a few times with my Bogdan guided system with 18° on each side (the coarsest stone was a Rika 5K). It's somewhere between a laser and a userfriendly grind and the profile is inspired by a masamoto ks. Knife never had any damage and was handled carefully.

Here are pics taken today with patina, which can be removed but it would look the same a week later:

Any questions? Don't hesitate, but please notice, that I'm not able to answer within a few minutes.

Best,
Mack.

Thanks for the clarification. Enjoyed reading your account of the project development with Jannis and execution on the German forum from 2017. Seemed like a successful collaborative effort. GLWS

Really changes the perspective seeing the original asking price associated brand new pictures versus seeing the current state (which it looks to be in good shape). Thanks for clearing that up.
