Looking good, what does everything on the tang say?
Ahh interesting, I noticed that on other suisin knives, thought it would be something related to their brandThat’s just stylized Made by Togashi 富樫作
"Inochu Hamono or Shuji Yamaguchi" when we were quotedWho’s the sharpener for this?
He‘s japanese_knifeshaper on insta, suishin‘s go to mirror polish and honyaki guy. The whole order went via suishin."Inochu Hamono or Shuji Yamaguchi" when we were quoted
Yeah the point of the project was for it to be somewhat unfinished and for the end users to polish it up, that's why it's way cheaper than a standard togashi blue 1 honyakiIs that the finished product?
Is that the finished product?
The final product is for each sharpener to decide. It will be very interesting to see what everyone comes up with.

Nothing like learning on one of the hardest steels to polishReally cool concept especially for those people who are learning or trying to get better with Polishing/Finishing.
stay tunedI nominate someone to send theirs to @KasumiJLA
Merci l'ami! This is a wonderful project indeedI nominate someone to send theirs to @KasumiJLA
winter quenching, the water would be cooler in winter so the steel hardness might be higher. On the other hand, the successful rate might decrease because the temperature difference is bigger.sounds cool. what is “winter honyaki”?
