I need to free up some money, so I'm doing some spring (or summer?) cleaning and will be posting as I sort what to keep and what to sell. First one is listed below, thanks for looking.

165mm Masamoto Sohonten KS Stainless Petty ($250 - Free CONUS Shipping)
Condition: Lightly Used, Sharpened 2-3 Times on 6000 grit stone
Steel: Swedish Stainless (Believe it’s AEB-L)
Length: 165mm
Heel Height: 30mm
Weight: 64 grams
Handle: Burnt Chestnut D-Shaped
Notes: This knife has been lightly used. There are some horizontal scratches that are very faint; I’m not able to capture them very well with my camera. I have upgraded the handle from the original ho wood to a burnt chestnut d-shaped handle. Unfortunately, I no longer have the original box.

It’s not hand chiseled, it’s embossed kanji.

Swear, it looks (to me) like the kanji is under the surface...

Hi there. Is the kanji chiseled? I think it is, as far as I can see from the pics.

The kanji is stamped so there is depth to the markings.
