This is a 180mm magnacut nakiri. I would say its laser thin. I dont have an hrc tester yet but i would say based on the ht protocol i used the steel should be on the upper end of hardness for magnacut.

The handle is texas ebony, white g10 spacer, and resin filled zebra bone. The zebra bone had some thin cracks in the outside when i got it. So i filled those in with this "gold fill" stuff i have. I cant get it to show up well im the pictures. But basically its like a few gold (its brass) lines running through it.

Im asking $400 shipped for this. I wanted to ask at least 450. But the one main thing that has me taking off 50 dollars. Is the belts i had to finish on left some little dots on it you can see in certain light. Normally i could just go up in grit and they would be gone. But i dont have the money to buy higher grit scotch brite belts right now. So unfortunately I will have to see it as is.

Oh. I should add. I did grind this with a right hand bias though it should work fine for a lefty.

Looks really classy! Nice job.
Thanks. This one took a lot of work. Mostly because i really wanted to get the finish exactly right. Which is kinda disappointing about the little dots from the belt.

But it still generally looks at least, and im sure it will perform great. It certainly did when i tested it out a while back before i finished and put the handle on.

Oh. I guess ill add. I can offer thinning on this knife at least the first time for free. Provided the buyer pays shipping.

It shouldnt really be too difficult to thin like the 10v blades, but still, if anyone has concerns or isnt experienced with it. That offer is there.

Directly behind the edge .2-.18 it changes it depends if im putting it directly in the same spot, or slightly higher on the bevel.

10mm back behind the edge.
Above the heel .82mm
Above the middle .74
Above the "tip" .62

The spine directly at the ferrule 1.75mm
The middle 1.5mm
Above the "tip" 1.02mm

Blade height 43.18mm
Blade length from the ferrule. Just under 190mm
Sharpened blade length. 178mm it looks like.

Heres how it cuts. I was waiting to sharpen it until it was sold. But i decided, to just do it now. I hadnt tested it since getting the final finish on it, and when i went to try it out on a potato, i decided. This might help sweeten the pot for anyone that has been even considering getting it.
