Hello friends. Looking to trade this Raquin I just picked up from a KKF member here last week (value $630 shipped insured) for a Jiro Gyuto around the same length maybe a touch longer. I’ve been wanting to get my hands on a Raquin but the KT is not for me. The grind did have some low and high spots in weird places so I did clean it up on the stones. Ran it through some carrots after that and just wasn’t a fan. I know that might be heresy in this forum but such is life.
EDIT:
Alright, I’ve gone ahead and switched this to a sale. I’m not gonna be shady and remove this post. Given that Bryan has commented and said the knife is not what it is supposed to be, which is how I recieved it after 4-5 hands and a touch up. I’m happy to sell this knife at $400 shipped insured CONUS. Price firm as that’s a $230 loss on what I paid. I appreciate the consideration.
As a note, this is a super knowledgeable and awesome community. I really enjoy being able to come here and buy/sell amazing knives. What I do not appreciate is assumptions and attitude about knives and how they were treated and or received. Instead of asking questions, an individual decided to be less than kind and assume, then go ahead and changed their comment when corrected. Is this an ideal situation with an ideal knife? No. Stuff happens. All I ask is that folks be better.
