Picked this up in a package on BST. One sharpening and it's a great cutter, but I hate to say that as cool as the hexagonal handle is it doesn't I just don't jibe with it. Not sure when/where, but it picked up a scratch towards the tip that I tried to catch in the second picture.

Size: 230mm x 52.5 mm
Weight: 238gr
Steel/Finish: 135cr3/clean wrought iron
Finish: kurouchi/stone polished bevels
Handle: padauk & stainless bolster
Geometry: middleweight
Condition: 1 pro sharpening and a stable patina. Includes saya. Per previous seller, this is Milan's first with a hamaguri grind

Paid $750.00 and asking $725.00 shipped in CONUS + Canada

I believe this one was mine. Definitely a great performing knife. That hexagonal shape isn’t for everybody but I wouldn’t sleep on this if you’re looking for a Milan. A proper polish will bring this beauty to back to 💯 .

Yes, Sir! Great cutter indeed, I really hate that I don't dig the hexagonal handle. Definitely keeping an eye out for the right Milan knife after trying this one.

Just for the fun of it. If I can intervene a little : I would be glad to put that knife again on the stones so I'll offer a full clean up and new polish (shipping out) for the one who will buy the knife so the knife will be like new.
The bevel was shaped the togishi way with shaped convex stones. It is maybe the only one I have made all with that technique. Now I am generally using flat stones but I do sometimes mix some of that convex stones technique with my normal way.

GLWS !

Wow Mr. Gravier! That's an amazing offer for the new owner. This is a beautiful piece of work as is, but I can't imagine not wanting it refinished. The bevel work is awesome and I'll definitely being looking for a bigger iteration of your work in the near future.

Cheers!
