Here's number 5/7 for this batch of 52100 blades. Very thin BTE, stiff for its thickness, and as near to a 50/50 grind as I have ground in a while.
Here's number 5/7 for this batch of 52100 blades. Very thin BTE, stiff for its thickness, and as near to a 50/50 grind as I have ground in a while.
- Blade: 230mmx50mm 52100 (64hrc) 320 grit finish
- Neck: 17mmx20mm
- Handle: 128mm, tapering from 23.9mmx22.3mm to 21.9mmx18.1mm, burned oak, oil finished and waxed
- POB: 42mm from handle
- Spine: 2.57mm at the neck, 2.29mm at halfway, .81mm 1cm from the tip
- Grind: flat to convex 50/50
- Weight: 136 grams
- Relieved choil and spine
- Edge: 0, .20mm @2mm, .58mm@5mm, .94mm@10mm measured at the midpoint.
