I’ve too many Tanakas and customs coming in so this one is leaving. I’ve only polished off the angular stock grinding marks, replaced the sandblasted kasumi with my own and used it for some test cuts! Nothing negative to say at all, doesn’t feel brittle for how thin it is BTE. Grind is even but has a little concavity along the primary bevel.

Specs:
-230x50x3mm at heel
-176g

Got for 430$ blade only from Tokushu. Selling for 420$ shipped CONUS with this nice curly mono rosewood. We can talk discounts if you don’t like the handle!

I know choil shots don’t tell the whole story and all that junk, but holy hell that thing is thin BTE!

Does it cut as well as it looks like it does?
It cuts very similarly to my myojin ground knives - like the others, ghosts through product but suffers with food release a little
