Howdy KKF
These are officially open for sale, but if you do have anything from my trade list please let me know, as I will prioritize trades over sales.
Trade list:
-Shihan AEBL 240ish Gyuto
-Shihan AEBL Petty, any size
-The Nine 240ish Gyuto
-Something nice from RDG
Kipp:
This blade needs no introduction. There were previous owners, but I'd say it feels lightly used. Never been thinned, and since I've owned it, It's only been touched up once by Jon at JKI. I also just took it over to JKI again to have Jon give it a spa day, and I have not used it since, so it's currently tip-top. Only reason i'm moving this along is because I was lucky enough to purchase a laser directly from Jules recently, and I simply don't need two Kippingtons. Please take all my measurements with a grain of salt, as I am using a ruler.
Specs:
229 x 52, 202g
52100 Steel with convex grind

Value (negotiable for trades): For this, I simply want to recoup what I spent for the laser, which was $670 here:

Tanaka x Kyuzo:
Another blade that is well known and loved around here. This thing is truly one of my best cutters. An absolute laser beam with a wicked taper (for a Japanese knife), but it's just too redundant at this point to keep. Only used for a few test cuts.
Compared with the other TxK I've tried, this one has a noticeably more blade forward balance, and feels a hair thicker at the spine, which is quite comfortable. It also has quite a generous flat spot to the profile.
As sometimes happens with iron-clad blades, it arrived with some very slight imperfections in the cladding. I'm sure a small bit of polishing would clean it right up, but i've left it as is for now. I've included some close up photos with the contrast pumped way up, to highlight these areas, but as you can see in the video, they are barely visible. Again, grain of salt on these measurements. I promise I'll get calipers soon!
Specs:
224 x 50, 160g
B1 Steel with concave grind

Value: (negotiable for trade) $600
Feel free to ask for any more details or photos. Looking forward to the conversations this might lead to!
Cheers,
Sky
