Great VG-XEOS Gekko gyuto from Kurosaki. Used maybe once, but it's overall a great piece. Haven't used it enough to say much about edge retention, but based on how it's performed I don't think edge retention is gonna be an issue.
As it's a Kurosaki, this definitely leans towards being a laser, but it's actually got a strong amount of convexity giving it a bit more substance compared to a knife with a more flat grind (see grind pics below). Overall, great performer and surprisingly one of the more versatile laserish knives i've used.
Price: $340 (got as a gift, so not sure how much it was purchased for, but I'm seeing most places list it around $350-$500. Really not sure what's going on with the large price discrepancies).
No real chipping or chippiness along the edge
