Steel is so damn hard it feels like sharpening does nothing, moreso than honyaki I've worked on. Reminds me of hap40 almost. Beats takagi blue honyaki in abrasion resistance. I had less trouble sharpening ... Almost every other steel. I mean, it's gets really sharp quite well, but ti remove steel, god it takes a long time. Vitrified diamond, the steel didn't care, still took a long time. Dry edge feels. Feels like idk, you could say it takes an edge like white 1, very dry, but has abrasion resistance like blue 1. I swear it's that same Sakai blacksmith who makes super hard yanagi with no delam, except this time he wanted to have delam and consequently it's harder than his already very hard blades. Slight wavy banding in iron, near middle of blade. Iron is responsive and fine-ish

Pitting on ura and throughout blade and microchipping
Buffalo horn handle
Strong distal taper
Extremely light and nimble
Straightened and wide bevel sharpened. Still could use a coarse stone to bring closer to a zero edge. Almost all low spots removed. Low spots near shinogi at tip. Shinogi and blade face get less wide towards tip. Delams on ura. Odd tip shape.
