Hey All 😁

I'm about to be moving out of the country so, I've got to move along some of my bulky items. This is a sliglightly older, but still kickass gaming PC. I hand-built this beast years ago, but I don't think it would survive a move to Spain.

It's got an EVGA 2070 super, i7 8700K, absurdly nice ram, and an Asus 1440 144hz monitor. 1TB HDD, and 256GB SSD.

The RAM is not listed in the Speccy software for some reason, but I spent $450 on the RAM alone!

I'd part with it for way less than it's worth, cuz I don't wanna go through the hastle of craigslist. Also comes with an EVGA mechanical keyboard, Corsair mouse, and HyperX cloud 2 headset.

I've been watching Craigslist, and generally builds with high end 20 series GPUs and 8th gen i7s go for around $950, with the monitor and peripherals sold separately. I'll ask $650 for everything, including the monitor, keyboard, mouse, and headset.

It just needs to be said that, while I've never had any major issues, this is a machine best suited for someone who knows how to troubleshoot their own PC. Hand-built machines can be unpredictable, but usually any issues are easy to solve, if you know how to identify them.

Happy to provide more details, or answer any questions!

Cheers,
Sky

Nice offering. Could you mention which games you played and FPS for them?

Hooo that's asking me to go into some ancient history haha. I would get over 100 FPS in witcher 3 on max settings (except the stupid hair physics), red dead 2 ran super smoothly as well. If you are interested, I can boot up some games and take some photos or videos with the FPS conter on

I would be interested if i was local. Different games require different level of hardware. If you ran Red Dead smoothly I think that covers a lot of games lol. The RAM and SSD are a nice part of this package

It’s a good deal. You spent $450 on ram? Did you buy your ram when there was a shortage (I think it was 2019 or 2020) if you posted it on Facebook marketplace or on craigslist. I highly recommend you get a compressed air can and clean up some of the dust. Also, if you do some cable management and hide some of those cables, you can probably get more and it usually sells faster.

Nah it was just a time when I was going overboard chading FPS. It was a really dumb and unneccesary purchase 🤣

Oh, lol. It also should be mentioned that it looks like you have a Noctua NH-D15 cpu cooler. They might look ugly to some people, but it’s a $120 cooler and one of the best cpu coolers you can buy and your psu is a Corsair ax860. It's a $200 psu and platinum certified. Very nice!

Yep, this thing was specced to the gills when I built it! Good eye on the cooler, and the PSU is still running strong!

Details: The RAM is G.Skill Trident Z 32GB (4x8GB), at 3700 MHz. And while that may not be so mind blowing today, it most certainly was back in the era of the 10 and 20 series cards!

And as @Zzdog305 mentioned, the CPU cooler is a Noctua NH-D15, and the PSU is a Corsair ax860 Platinum modular unit.

In short: This thing is a beast. If you popped a new GPU in there, you'd have a PC capable of making cake of the newest titles

You could buy this for parts, relist them all on a PC nerd forum, and double your money. And NOBODY in the flipper alert thread would even know. 🤫
If you want to part out and sell it fast, you can easily make a $150 to 200 dollars profit.

The used market for the PC parts listed. Also some of these estimates might be low

CPU: $125
CPU cooler: $50
GPU $200
Motherboard: $100
Ram: $100
PSU:$70
Not much of a market for a used SSD & HDD, but you can probably get $20 for both
Monitor: around $150
That’s around $800

Thank you so much for taking the time to price this out!

Honestly, if someone does this, I wouldn't even be mad haha. I just have enough on my plate planning for an international move, so I don't wanna spend the time to piece it out.

The monitor is easily worth $150 as well, plus the keyboard was $180 new, mouse about $80 new, and the headset is $100 new

such a shame i don’t live in the LA area i would buy this in a heartbeat. happy to pay for shipping if you’d consider it?
I do have one other person who already reached out about having it shipped, so you'd be second in line for that. I do want to give you a heads up, to ship this thing safely and with full insurance (meaning Fedex packages it themselves), it's probably going to be like $200

well, give it a shot locally and let me know if i ever move up on that waitlist!

Good deal. I’m glad you were able to sell it. I hope you got what you were asking for.
