Hello!
I just saw an ad for one from Sharpworks:

Wondering if anyone tried one of these?
I feel like a single horizontal steel rod is not enough to be stable .. also feels like the clamp is too long, but I'd like first hand opinion.

Asking because, a while back, I spent quite some time messing around building my own guided sharpening rig for full-size stones

it took some time to get it solid ... and after all that I actually think "SharpWorx Utility: Adjustable Angle Knife Sharpener" is a better way to go.
More stable and more out of the way.

Just not sure how to nicely slide knives on it and still keep the angle .. maybe super strong magnets + nylon spacer to not scratch the knife.
I might get it just to try ..

(if you're wondering "why tho?" .. because I had a lot of time on my hands)

This is more or less a copy of the Nowi/Bogdan system. If you want your knives REALLY sharp, use these...

Nowi is a 4 digit price tag? Or did I find the wrong stuff? really nice design though .. but way out of "for fun" budget.
Bogdan seems to be a more budget copy of the same design.
