Yup, there was a sharpening option listed on the site (for extra $15). Sorry, I don't know what you mean by "Fred's". Still kinda new here.Check over at Fred's. JMBullman just did a nice, favorable review. If I got one, I think I'd have him do the first thinning/sharpening, which is (or at least used to be) an option when you buy it.
