For sale is a Togashi White #2 iron clad cleaver from Hitohira with the yo handle.

228x108mm
446g

Removed the fake shinogi with some sandpaper and gave it a very basic brushed finish. Handle is porous and is dirty from stone mud/swarf. Not pretty but feels great in hand. Close ups show handle condition and knife finish better. Tipped the corner (~1mm) so it has a very slight upsweep.

If you're looking for a Japanese cleaver with great steel to put to use then this is for you. Would also suit a buyer looking to clean it up properly with a nice handle and finish.

Price to move at $220 ($325 AU) plus shipping.

What are the handle dimensions, and does it angle downward or is it in line with the spine?

knife and price looks great! would love to try it out, I wonder how it compares with the Moritaka cleaver..

I own one of these and don't think it'll be leaving my collection anytime soon which IMO is a rare say as I am normally very picky about my knives. F&F definitely isn't the best being a cleaver and all but the profile and overall heft, grind, etc. make it an absolute pleasure to use.
