Hello Everyone!
Its the teapot guy here. I have a special pot here.
Although I collect Japanese pots I have 3 Chinese teapots in my collection and they are made by the same artist which shows my love and trust for this maker. His name is Chen Zhi Jian, a national winner in wheel throwing competition and a person who doesnt like a lot of spotlight; so, he doesnt maintain any active social media account.
The teapot I have here is made with absolutely excellent quality Yi Xing Zhao Zhuang Red clay which he collected from a clay collector.
The pot has amazing texture which is the result of high shrinkage rate of this clay. For this same reason, the failure rate of the pot coming perfect is more than 50% too. So, this is an excellent piece. As you can see it comes in its original box and calligraphy and seal of the artist. A collector grade item.
Now the sad part…. I dropped the lid which caused a chip on the inside edge of it (shown in photos). The chip obviously is not visible when you put it in the pot and doesnt affect functionality in any way. But I am a person with very high OCD so decided to sell it.
I paid $295 for it. I am letting it go for $170 which includes shipping.
Further reduced to $150. So thats 50% off.
