Without knowing anything about the marketplace or the seller, that looks like a really nice natural combo coti/bbw for a great price. I haven’t had any cotis with that dendritic pattern, but from my understanding it is a good thing, and suggests a faster (but still fine) example: https://www.kitchenknifeforums.com/threads/coticules.60724/page-3

How do you know its BBW and not glued slate? I assume because the includings go down to the second layer?
 
Hi there, I cannot see any more good photos as it’s reserved, but the price is good for the size. The blue side looks like worn out so probably someone sharpened on it. Just have to flatten the stone. Look out for cracks. Try with your nail tip going true the crack if found. It is possible to be a manganese line and not a crack.
 
I bought the stone. The seller was super nice and went down with the price....such luck. The blue and yellow side is pretty worn down on one side. I cant find any cracks only the manganese lines. My phone is too bad to take good pictures. But here you go!

It slurrys fast on the yellow side not that much on the blue one. Also it got 3 colours if looking from the side. Hope its visible.
Also it looks like i need to take a lot of material form the blue side to flatten. I was wondering if i should saw the thick part and shorten the stone to 15 cm instead.

I would personally keep the length and go for flattening.. a lot of work but it will payoff keeping the size and value of the stone. I didn't read the hole coticule thread yet but probably is more info of how to do it. Easiest way working for me is sending paper between 100-280 grit on top of something flat and then finish with another flat hard stone. Your stone looks like it has a lot of meat on it.
