Up for sale is this older (2019) semi-integral Catcheside gyuto. I'm the 5th owner. I purchased from Superwarior here. He got it from Enrico here, who got it from Brian Weekly here, who got it from (edit) Barmoley, who (edit) purchased it directly from Will.

Length: 237mm
Height: 53mm
Weight: 233g
Steel: 1.2442 clad in soft iron (edit) or maybe mild steel
Handle: (edit) copper filled Wenge with unknown spacer
Spine: 6.4mm out of the handle, 4.2 above heel, 2.3 mid, 1.6 mid/front, 1 at shinogi at tip
BTE (1mm): 0.20mm at heel, 0.15 mid, 0.10 1cm behind tip
Balance: at "a"
Condition: Since it's been with me I have sharpened it a couple times (Ikarashi probably) and polished the bevels with a Mauro shiro suita. It's got patina on it now, but happy to put a fresh polish on the bevels if the buyer wants.
Description: Really fantastic knife. The semi-integral bolster makes it very comfy in a pinch. Top notch food release with forged geometry. Flattish profile with no true flat spot. Forward balance without being too blade heavy. Solid midweight, enough to aid in dropping through product, but svelte enough to perform exceptionally well. Performs as well or better than any other low bevel knife I have.
Price: $600 CONUS

Thanks for the clarification and vote of support. Indeed a stellar knife.

@Barmoley were you the original owner?
Yep, I got it directly from Will. See how the Wenge is copper filled, Will did this for a short period of time as a little extra touch. I had too many similar catchies at the time and it seemed like Brian needed one. Sadly I don't have any catchies at the moment, but they are still my favorite low bevel knives. This one has great balance and a very good profile.

Great to know. Thanks for the background. I always wondered why the wenge was so much smoother than my other wenge handles. Copper, who knew!

ugh… that price for so much knife……
Fascinating choil shot. The transition between brut de forge and grind is not visible, and the convexity is conic-section perfect. That’s some nice hammerwork. Shame I’m sorta broke.

The sixth buyer should get a complimentary egg roll.
