Chinese Cleaver 195x85mm
276g
Carbon Steel

I picked this up on a whim from my local shop and used it once. I dug through about a dozen examples at the shop to pick this one out. There was a recurve in the profile, which I fixed and resharpened, so now there's no issue.

The right side has a generous convex, left side also generally convex, but with a bit of hollow. It's kinda medium grind for a cleaver, but sorta thin-medium if you compare to a gyuto. It's 1mm thick at 10mm behind the edge. Handle is basic wood with metal cap ferule, with the rat-tail style tang. Blade is straight.

It is not as refined as a CCK or Chopper King. Lengthwise grind is rough. There's a gap in the ferule which you can fill with epoxy or wax if you prefer, or simply knock off and replace with something else.

Anyways... this post has already been more effort than I intended. The knife is cheap, so set your expectations low and don't complain.

$30 shipped, and I'll include a terrible blade cover I made out of a Kleenex box (not pictured)
