Chicago Knife Stores?

Hi all, I’m trying to find a nice knife store in Chicago for my son. I found a topic from 2020, that suggested there was not much to speak of. Any new shops in Chicago or the area?

Northwestern Cutlery is still the standard bearer, but you're not going to see much compared to shops on the coasts or in Canada.

Yup, the new kid is doing nice stuff at Northside Cutlery. Not much online as yet, but Kev has a bunch of beautiful knives. He also is a fine sharpener, having thinned my first two J-knives from very early in my sharpening quest.
