I keep seeing this knife advertised. What's the steel like? My neighbor wants a big knife. I like the looks of the handle a lot better than the standard Dexter Russell knives. The price is right. Has anybody used one? Where's it made? I sharpen her knives so I should be able to tell how it compares to my Germn steel. I know it says German steel but it seems to be a loose category. She has a Henckel and a Wustoff knife.

Never used this particular knife but I actually quite liked the santoprene handles I used in the past. Felt better than the usual POM.

I wonder if it can hold a 15 degree angle as well as my Henckels or Wustoff knives. The last time I sharpen I only used my stropping belt with compound to sharpen my knives. I want to see how many times I can do it before I have to go back to belts.
