Hi!

I've been trying to figure out the best way to polish harder steels. While getting nicer sandpaper is helpful - I really do feel like I'm bashing my head against the wall polishing some honyaki or higher hardness/wear-resistant core steels - even with the diamond pastes and stones. Does anyone have experience with these other polishing mediums or have any suggestions?

When I wanted a mirror edge on knives on my guided KME, I would always use diamond film, and this was on very high edge retention steels. This is also what some of my friends use to polish flats on pocket knives. I also have a friend who uses printer paper in combination with diamond paste to polish flats of s90v and other high wear resistant steels
