I like this knife a lot, but I need to re-coup some fun money after buying yet another Shig. The knife has been used a good bit, but it's better now than it was brand new. I thinned it out almost immediately upon buying it, as it was a bit thick behind the edge. The original geometry has been retained, it's just thinner. It's also been etched, to give it an even finish and remove thinning marks, though it wasn't etched enough to remove the factory grind marks (I've tried to remove as little material as possible). It might have lost 1/3 of a mm in height, total, and the profile is exactly as it was. I can remove the patina, if that's desired. The etched lettering is still visible, though the etchant took off the color. The knife is a bit thinner than in the pictures (I did a little bit more after taking those), but it's tough to get a good pic, now. It cuts very nicely, and feels good in the hand. The scales have the customary slight shrinkage, but you can't tell in use. This ships with the box.

The thought of selling any of my ZK will never cross my mine, I enjoy them too much. In fact I've often considered getting a second 10" just too re-handle and try re-grinding it much like you have, along with maybe adding a little concave touch along the length of it. But this certainly isn't a cheap/quick project...
