Hey all,

Looking to sell the following:

Price listed in USD/AUD

Lightly Used Gesshin Ginga 210mm White #2 Wa-Gyuto $220 USD/$290 AUD

Specs:

Weight: 115g
Heel to Tip Length: 200mm
Blade Height at Heel: 41.7mm
Handle: Octagonal Ho Wood

Sharpened a couple of times - found it was missing a bit of length and a bit too short for my liking. Has a lovely grind and performs amazingly, think I'd want a 240mm version sometime in the future. Most likely a better purchase for those already in Australia - better off to purchase a new one from JKI but the cost of shipping it over was already quite hefty so it's hard to take more off the price and be reasonable to myself. Not heavily used/sharpened at all - the blade height is only 0.3mm shorter than factory 42mm. Has a light patina that can easily be taken off with any metal polish.

Used Genkai Honyaki Fuguhiki (Gassan Kuniyuki) $400 USD/ $530 AUD

Specs:

Weight: 86g/105g (with handle)
Heel to Tip Length: 291mm
Blade Height at Heel: 27.1mm
Handle: Ho wood with some kind of horn(?) (this is a guess)

The hamon on this one is clearly visible above the shinogi on the hira. Please refer to the video to see the hamon, I had quite a hard time capturing it in natural lighting.

Used Honyaki Sakimaru Fuguhiki(?) $400 USD/$530 AUD

Specs:

Weight: 133g/187g (with handle)
Heel to Tip Length: 315mm
Blade Height at Heel: 22.6mm
Handle: Ebony with Double Silver Spacers

The hamon on this one is very shrouded at the moment - it's a bit scratched up but you can still see the hamon under the right lighting. The hamon is visible in person but very difficult to capture over the phone - the seller guessed ikeda, but no guarantees because the kanji has been scratched off the tang. ( I can only attached 10 files so the rest of the photos/videos are in the replies)

Both of the honyaki knives are projects that I picked up but never got around to doing. Looking to pass them on to someone who wants to restore them to what they can be :)

Prices listed are before paypal fees and shipping. Located in Australia - will include shipping for free within australia and willing to cover some shipping fees for international. Feel free to DM if you have any inquiries or questions!

You can get BNIB Ashi 240mm white steel Gyuto for $205 in ebay + $20 shipping from BlueWayJapan. I bought some knives from them 13 years ago and they still selling knives until today. Trusted seller i guess, ship directly from Japan.

If you looking for 240mm Gyuto in the future

Aware of that! I do plan to get a 240mm in the future, but not sure whether I want the Gesshin variant or not considering they have nicer f&f and come with saya
