Another tough one to let go that I've had for a while now. Excellent cutter and great food release with the compound grind going on. The steel is 52100. Handle is ancient redgum and fossilized walrus ivory. Also comes with a fancy knife pouch made by Joe's mom! Before you laugh, the pouch is a winner
