I am from China, so curious about how you guys comment on knives made in China.

China has a long history of making knives, but in industrialized time, the reputation of Chinese knives seems not good.

Indeed, there are so many big knife manufacturers in China making mass cheap knives every day, most of them just focus on making money, not knives, I would like to say. Making $0.5 profit on one knife if the order is 10,000 pcs, that means you can get $5, 000, it is not bad in terms of making money.

I am working with a small team, different to those guys. We just focus on high performance knives, mainly making pre-made blades for professional knifemakers, to help them save time and cost. We use quality steels to make the blades, hardness is usually 60+HRC. The blades will be totally finished, just without a handle, because most of clients would like to assemble handles at their own workshop.

Words cannot prove what we can do, but samples can tell....If you guys would like to cooperate with me, let me know.

I guess this means that you make knife blanks (i.e.: heat treated knives in the correct shape but not yet ground into the final shape)?

Which steels do you use? How do you forge and/ orheat treat your steel?

Hello, what’s your brand name in Chinese? I’m buying mostly from small independent makers like 新国,马凯达, 陈近南and couple others.
