New member here. Home cook, not a pro. Been working on the Riddle of Steel since before I knew what it was called.
I've been lurking and learning, and lusting over some of the fine cutlery I see here. I do know a couple things about sharpening steel and working wood, but not much. Hope to be able to contribute something.
I also bake my own bread. No girly bread machine for me, it's all done by hand (and oven).

My secondary purpose in signing on is to keep an eye of Knyfenerd. I need to make sure he doesn't spend my grandchildrens' milk money on fancy chef knives! The boy needs to be watched, I tell you. Seriously, I am very proud of his kitchen knowledge and skills. Can't say that he learned any of it from me.

My life has not become unmanageable-yet!

Welcome! Cool, is this the first father-son member pair?

Oops, never mind. Of course, Hoss and Larrin are a father-son pair.

Remember the old 80's anti-drug commercial:

"I learned it from watching you dad! I learned it from watching you!"

it probably is an inherited trait too.
